Re: Free Our Schools

Hi Everyone:

Here is a Commentary on Bountiful Trees and Vegetables God (YHWH) has provided for mankind, the Fuchsia Boliviana.

To view flower, go to, http://www.pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?LatinName=Fuchsia+boliviana
European botanists first identified F. boliviana in 1876 at high altitudes in Bolivia. It is also found in neighboring Argentina and Peru. An erect shrub often reaching 12-feet high, its narrow scarlet sepals dangle gracefully from many branches. The stigma and stamens, – pollen covered – protrude from barely visible petals. Leaves are oval-shaped, downy, and marked with deep veins. Cultivar F. boliviana 'Alba' (Bed 55c) has white sepals with scarlet petals.

The popularity of fuchsias reached their height in England during the Victorian era, when many botanical explorers hunted worldwide for new exotic plants. It was also an era of glass conservatories built to shelter new frost-tender plants, and was followed by the development of hundreds of fuchsia cultivars. The American Fuchsia Society, founded in Berkeley in 1929, meets in the San Francisco County Fair Building, and is the main source for fuchsia distribution and information.

Fuchsia plants bear exotic-looking, two-toned blossoms that provide striking color and tropical ambiance. They are perfect for hanging baskets, though they look just as nice when allowed to cascade from a large planter sitting on the ground or on a pedestal. Don't be intimidated by their delicate beauty: fuchsias are easier to grow than you might think!

Fuchsia plants, pronounced FEW-sha, are also called Lady's Eardrops, for their gracefully dangling flowers. They prefer partial shade along with frequent feedings with a water-soluble fertilizer during their blooming season. Potting soil should be high in organic matter and have excellent moisture retention, but be allowed to drain. We recommend 2 to 4 fuschia plants per container for maximum visual impact! [source - retrieved from http://www.gardenharvestsupply.com/productcart/pc/fuchsia-plants-fuchsia-flowers-potted-fuchsia-for-sale-c167.htm on 12/21/2014]

Planting a Fuchsia Border:
Recently we had a request from a member to suggest tall Fuchsias for a border planting with small Fuchsias to use as ground cover which would harmonise with the tall ones. The member lives in the Southern Highlands so hardy /easily grown varieties were needed.

Site: The space for the border needs to be 2 to 4 metres wide to allow for growth. Fuchsias like dappled shade in summer with more light in winter. Deciduous trees are good as they provide both. Tall trees such as eucalypts, which have a high canopy and allow the winter sun to penetrate under the tree as well as provide dappled shade in Summer, also work. Fuchsias grown in full shade will have problems flowering and may develop long and lanky growth. They like morning sun or very late afternoon sun. Fuchsias really dislike western sun, wind and frost.

Soil: Planting a border is easier than planting a hedge but the need for good soil preparation is vital. As with roses, the soil needs to be prepared several weeks before planting with enough time for the plants to establish before both the hot summer weather and the coldest part of the winter occur. Late winter for Spring planting or midsummer for early Autumn planting are best. You can dig deeply into the soil already there and improve it or, if you prefer, build up the bed 15cm (6”) to 25cm (10”) above the ground level with good soil mixed with cow and/or other manures, blood and bone and add lots of humus such as aged leaf and grass clippings, compost or stable manures
This step is important as it provides the plants with a good base with rich, free draining soil. Raised beds also allow you to dig a deep and wide hole for each plant. After preparing the soil, spread blood and bone or Organic Life over the soil then cover with good mulch. Moisten the soil and leave for some six weeks before planting.

Selecting Plants: Depending on your site and climate you may need to use very hardy frost or heat tolerant plants. You will also need to consider ultimate height after two or three year’s growth as well as ease of access to the border. If you have chosen to have a very wide border then a simple path using flagging or stepping stones will allow you to access the plants without breaking their brittle branches or compacting the soil. Position all the plants before planting. Smaller plants tend to settle in better than large plants. I usually use plants in 5” or 6” pots like those we sell at the Fair and Festival.

Spacing: Fuchsias need good air circulation so be generous when spacing the small plants. If the border is long and wide then plant in a triangle of three plants of the same cultivar to allow for a good block of colour. In a narrow border just use one plant of each cultivar but don’t be too het up about planting in straight lines. A slight zigzag effect will give each plant more space. Leave 60cm ( 2 feet) between plants to allow for growth. In the first year add small perennials such as brachycome, pinks, dianthus, cranesbills, lupins or annuals such as Lobelia, Alyssum, small begonias etc or even Bulbs such as Star Flowers, baby daffodils, Freesias, Muscari and Bluebells which can be left in the ground. In the front of the border choose trailers. Plant them at the widest space of the triangle or zigzag in about 30cm (12”) from the edge to allow for growth. Choose prolific flowerers like La Campanella, Micky Goult, Blue Lagoon rather than spectacular doubles which may have fewer flowers. If the bed has been built up the trailers will spill over the ‘hill’ at the edge of the border.

Care of the Border: With good soil preparation, the plants will make good growth during the first season. If you have planted in Autumn and your area gets very cold weather and/ or frost you will probably need to protect the baby plants. Cover the bed with good mulch. You can even place newspaper around the plants but not too close to the stem to allow plenty of moisture to penetrate. Tree sleeves can be placed over the plants to protect them. Just insert three sticks then place the tree sleeves over the sticks and the plant. If the plants are affected by frost/ cold do not cut back but leave them until the Spring when they will reshoot. I leave all my in ground plants alone until Spring when I tidy them up as new growth appears naturally. That is when you can dig gently around the plant to allow air into the soil, fertilize with a good balanced fertilizer and water well then cover with mulch. This should be all they will need for three to four months other than removing debris around the base and pinch pruning two or three times as they grow. You may want to foliar fertilize with a high potassium fertilizer such as Thrive Fruit and Flower or Better Bloom as flowers form.
In Summer (I do mine after Christmas) give the plants a trim back then dig lightly over the bed with a hoe, water then add more good organic fertilizer and renew the mulch for a good autumn show. [source - retrieved from http://www.fuchsiaclubnsw.com/html/sub/helpfullstuff/PlantingaFuchsiaBorder.html on 12/21 /2014]

GROWING FUCHIAS IN THE HOME GARDEN.

INTRODUCTION
Fuchsia are very rewarding plants to grow, they flower for a long period of time and will grow in a wide range of positions. When you select a plant, look for a compact bushy specimen with healthy leaves and a strong root system. If you want to see what the root system looks like, ask a shop assistant to tap the plant out of the pot for you. NEVER take the plant out of its pot before you buy it.

Fuchsias will flourish quite well in moderate garden positions providing that they have the right position and proper care. To accomplish the best results, Fuchsias need strong filtered light and plenty of fresh air. Fuchsias do not like too much heat and need to be protected from frosts and hot winds. They must be kept moist, but not wet and they need protection from the strong after noon sun. Most Australian gardens will have a position somewhere in the garden that will accommodate growing fuchsias.

An ideal situation can be created under a structure with medium grade shade cloth, shade from trees or buildings.

GARDEN FUCHSIAS
When deciding to grow Fuchsias in the garden, Autumn is really the best time to be planting out, as the weather is milder and the plants establish themselves before next the summer. If you plant out Fuchsias at any other time, special care and constant attention is needed.

Ideally, grow fuchsias in a spot that receives abundance of morning sun and protection from strong winds. The area that you are going to plant your fuchsia in should be well prepared and well-drained, fuchsias can't handle wet feet.
Some varieties of Fuchsias, if they are planted at the right time and are established properly in the ground will take a lot more sun. But you need to understand their most important needs.

SOIL PREPARATION
Dig a hole 6 inches deeper than the height of the plant container. Mix some Compost, blended with some well rotted Cow Manure into the bottom of the hole.
The width of the hole should be dug wide enough so that there is plenty of room left when the plant ball is placed into the hole. Once the plant has been inserted into the hole the gap around the root system should be half the width of the new plant root ball all the way around. This then allows enough space to replace the new prepared soil mixture around the plant ball.

PLANTING
A 140mm pot is a ‘throw away pot’, so the plant should potted as soon as possible. The plant should not be planted too deeply and the soil should be lightly firmed down and well watered after planting. The average person tends to pack the soil too loosely around the plant and later on the roots are exposed after the soil has settled down.

Mulching the garden bed, especially in the summer months, helps to make clay soils more friable and free draining and a soil which will retain moisture.

PLANTING IN WIRE BASKETS
A basket Fuchsia variety needs a basket 350mm (14") or bigger. A wire baskets lined with coconut fibre is preferable to plastic as it keeps the root system cooler and provides good drainage.

PLANTING IN TUBS
An upright Fuchsia best planted in a cement, terracotta or plastic pot at least 250mm (10") in diameter.

Stand the containers off the ground on bricks or pot legs and this will allow the water to drain away from the soil. I can't stress enough how important it is to make sure that the fuchsia plants do not become under or over watered especially in container grown plants.
The self-draining pots are the best way for growing fuchsia plants. These type of pots ensure that the plants are supplied with the correct amount of water all the year round. The pots can be connected to an automatic or manual drip watering system.

Empty the water out of the bottom storage area once a month and leave for several days before refilling. This will help to prevent algae and mosquitoes breeding in the water. It will also let the roots that are growing through the drainage plate die. If the roots are left to penetrate through and grow they will fill the area below and take up vital water storage room.

WATERING
The correct amount of moisture for the plants are very important and it is impossible to tell you how much water to give each plant. Sandy soils need more water than heavy loam soils and plants in areas protected from winds need less water than plants in unprotected positions.

Fuchsia plants need to be kept moist, but not waterlogged.

The most important point to remember is that a fuchsia plant should never be allowed to become dry. Always check your plants regularly to make sure the soil is moist. If the plants are on a drip system, regularly inspect the drippers to see if they are working correctly while the system is working. Deep watering more frequently during summer, is sufficient.

WIRE BASKETS.
It is important that the Fuchsias do no dry out. Basket Fuchsias are inclined to dry out quickly, so on hot windy days, take them down and place on the ground in a cool position and water early in the morning. Only replace to their original position when the weather becomes cooler.

FEEDING
Fuchsias aren't the hungriest of plants and they're usually happy with a couple of basic annual feeds of Dynamic Lifter or Yates Blood and Bone. In addition, when they're making plenty of spring growth, water them every couple of weeks with Thrive Flower & Fruit or Aquasol. Feed potted fuchsias with Nutricote orAUSSIECOTE (Click here for further information on this product) in the spring and this will keep the plants healthy and full of growth.

PRUNING YOUR FUCHSIAS
September is the time to finger pruning 'stopping' the fuchsias, this is a method of pruning the tips, which means pinching out the central bud at the end of each shoot.

This encourages side shoots and makes the plant grow thickly and lushly. In mid summer, if the plant is starting to look tired, give it a good cut back and some more fertiliser to promote new growth.

A hard prune should always be executed in July or August to maintain healthy growth. Clip the plant back to just above the hard wood and remove straggly and weak growth. This is also the time to re-pot if the plant has outgrown its container. Pot into a larger container or root prune and repot into the same container, replenishing the soil.

A light trim prune in January, or before the hottest weather, is ideal in areas with hot dry summers. The advantage of this trim is to have a smaller plant without flowers through the hottest months. Trim back behind the flowers to healthy leaves and shoots, making sure there are plenty of leaves on the plant. The plant will only be out of flower for 4-6 weeks and will then flower through the autumn and winter.
In frost prone areas, be careful not to prune during the heaviest frost period as new shoots are tender and will burn. If plants are affected by frost, wait until the frosts are over before doing any pruning.
Pruning is also the time to fertilise as pruning encourages new growth and feeding is important for healthy plants.

STANDARD FUCHSIAS
Standard Fuchsias can be developed by selecting a plant with one strong stem. They can be trained as standards by tying a main stem to a stake. Remove the side shoots as they develop, but not the top. Do not take away the leaves from the main stem as the plant needs these to continue growing. When the desired height is reached, pinch out the growing tip, leaving up to four sets of side shoots below the pinch intact, and proceed pruning the tips off the side shoots until a well shaped head is developed. Only remove the leaves from the stem when there are plenty of leaves on the head of the plant.

Fuchsias can be trained as standards by tying a main stem to a stake and removing the lower shoots from the stem. Discontinue liquid feeding until a regrowth commences.

FUCHSIA PESTS AND DISEASES
Fuchsias aren't troubled by very many insect pests but they can be attacked by caterpillars and thrips. Most caterpillars can be removed by hand or, for a quick fix, sprayed with Pyrethrum. Confidor, SYSTEX or Folimat. will give long-lasting control of thrips (tiny sucking insects that cause leaves to silver leaves) and aphids.

Rust is the most common fungal problem that affects fuchsias. Control with Baycor fungicide. This product is so effective it's used by many commercial fuchsia growers.

Lastly, protect fuchsias from extreme conditions of heat, wind and cold by spraying the plants with Seasol every couple of months. [source - retrieved from http://www.heyne.com.au/gardencentre/factsheets/factsheet.php/fuchsias.htm on 12/21/2014]

In Genesis 1:11-13, "And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. Fuchsias 101 – How to Eat Fuchsia Berries
September 9, 2010 by powellswood
By Jackie LaVerne, PowellsWood Gardener & Consultant and Owner of Magellanica Gardens Nursery
What?! Did that say eat fuchsia berries?!
Yes! It did!

It does not seem to be commonly known to folks who are growing fuchsias in their gardens that they are growing berries. Usually people think of those dark squishy things as a menace and a mess in their yards. But they are actually very tasty berries that can be used in many ways, including salads, muffins, tarts, garnishes, jams, jellies, even pies (although you really have to collect a lot to make pie!), and the berries are also just great to pick and eat all by themselves. And the flowers are edible too.

All fuchsias produce berries, although some varieties have much better tasting fruit than others. The berries are produced as the flowers on the plants mature and fall off. What is left behind is either a round or elliptical-shaped berry. The berries can grow to almost an inch long on some hybrids and species fuchsias, or to just 1/2-inch on the miniature Encliandra-type fuchsias. Single-bloom fuchsias produce more fruit than double-bloom fuchsias. Fuchsia berries can taste very peppery to very sweet, almost like a kiwi. The berries of Fuchsia procumbens, the groundcover fuchsia, are my personal favorite; they get very large and are very sweet.

Late summer through fall is a good time to harvest fuchsia berries. Pick the berries when they are soft and squishy; test them by tasting them to make sure that they are sweet. Be sure to use them promptly, as they do not keep well and will go bad quickly once picked. If you need to save up large quantities of fruit for a pie or tart, freeze them immediately like any other berry. When harvesting the berries keep in mind that the dark fruit will stain clothes and fingers, so remember to dress accordingly!

You can use your own berry recipes and substitute fuchsia berries, or here are two great fuchsia berry recipes to try. Do you have a favorite fuchsia berry recipe to share? We’d love to hear from you!

Fuchsia Berry Jelly
1 cup fuchsia flowers
1 cup ripe, washed fuchsia berries
1 cup sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
2 cups of water (or apple juice or apple cider)
1 apple, sweet, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin
Simmer flowers, berries, sugar, lemon juice, water, and apple for 10 minutes. Let mixture cool a bit, then strain it. Add the gelatin and allow to thicken in refrigerator.

Fuchsia Berry Jam
1 lb. sugar
2 tablespoons water (or apple pectin, apple juice or cider)
juice of 1 lemon
1 ½ lb. of ripe fuchsia berries, washed
Combine sugar, water and lemon juice in a pan and cook carefully over low heat until sugar dissolves. Set aside and allow to cool completely. Add the berries gently, folding them into the mixture so as not to break up the berries too much. Bring the mixture slowly to a boil. Boil until the mixture will set when tested on a plate. Seal in heated jars. Allow to cool completely before eating, then enjoy! [source - retrieved from http://powellswood.wordpress.com/2010/09/09/fuchsias-101-how-to-eat-fuchsia-berries/ on 12/21/2014]

Re: Free Our Schools

There is a Muslim apologist making misleading post on this forum and elsewhere. He claims to want to help immigrants, but he is wanting to have schools that will teach Sharia. This is Islamic law which like the evil Quran teaches hate, love of violence, and a disrespect for the person who is NOT Muslim as well as a disrespect for their property.

I have answered his post many times with REALITY AND TRUTH, but he keeps up his wrong rants. I am NOT against immigrants, but I myself am an immigrant. However, I benefit society of my host country; whereas, many of his persuasion form Muslim rape gangs, bomb subways and trains, and behead individuals in London. Let's look at my article exposing REALITY.

IMMIGRANTS ARE BOTH GOOD AND BAD – ISOLATIONIST IMMIGRANTS THAT TEACH HATE AND A DISRESPECT OT THE PERSON AND PROPERTY OF PEOPLE OF OTHER RELIGIONS RUIN COUNTRIES:

INTRODUCTION:

They believe in hate and disrespect of others and even want to take over their lands and put an unjust tax on them for NOT being Muslims and/or kill them.

Think this is not so, they even codify this wickedness and hate in their Quran and refuse to remove it. Here are two examples direct from the Quran:

Sura (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]...and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims. NOTE, There is a good case to be made that the overall context of these verses is defensive war, however, there are two worrisome pieces to this passage. The first is that the killing of others is authorized in the event of "persecution." The second is that fighting may persist until "religion is for Allah."]]>>

Please check and you will find this is the absolute truth. They teach this hateful wickedness at home and in their mosques, BUT NEVER SHOULD PUBLIC FUNDS BE GIVEN TO ESTABLISH MUSLIM FAITH BASED SCHOOLS so they can teach this hateful wickedness.

See APPENDIX to see more Suras (scriptures) from the Quran supporting this wicked hatefulness of others.

EXPOSURE OF THE EVIL OF ISLAMIC IMMIGRANTS AND HOW THEY RUIN COUNTRIES AND CIVILIZATION BY GEERT WILDER A MEMBER OF THE DUTCH PARLIAMENT:

This Will Give You Cold Chills!

Geert Wilders is a Member of the Dutch Parliament.
In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: "Who lost Europe ?" Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom the Netherlands , at the Four Seasons in New York , introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem ..

Dear friends,

Thank you very much for inviting me.

I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First, I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe . Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem .

The Europe you know is changing.

You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.

All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe . These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe , street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe . With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam , Marseille and Malmo in Sweden . In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin . The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels , because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya , Israel .. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France .. One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey .

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators 'settlers'. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel . First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz; second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines , Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan , Lebanon , and Aceh in Indonesia . Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel . It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel , Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel , they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands , 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome , Athens and Jerusalem .....

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe , American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe 's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

We have to take the necessary action now to stop this Islamic stupidity from destroying the free world that we know.

APPENDIX:

Proof of wicked hate and urge to violence directly from the Unholy Quran:

Sura (2:244) - "Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things."

Sura (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help." << [[They want to put to death all Christians for rejecting Islam, a good example is the case of Meriam Ibrahim, learn more at http://news.yahoo.com/sudanese-woman-sentenced-death-apostasy-123904046.html on 5/15/2014]]>>

Sura (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority". <<[[Remember the murder of 3,000 and the destruction of the World Trade Center, the London Bus and Subway bombing slaughter, the Boston Marathon bombing, and the killing by the Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Bale nightclub bombing, and countless others. Check the world news to learn more.]]>>

Sura (4:74) - "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (4:76) - "Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah…"

Sura (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (4:95) - "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-" <<[[This passage not only criticizes "peaceful" Muslims who do not join in the violence, but also demolishes the modern myth that "Jihad" doesn't mean holy war in the Qur'an, but rather a spiritual struggle. Not only is the Arabic word used in this passage, but it is clearly not referring to anything spiritual, since the physically disabled are given exemption. (The Hadith reveals the context of the passage to be in response to a blind man's protest that he is unable to engage in Jihad).]]>>

Sura (4:104) - "And be not weak hearted in pursuit of the enemy; if you suffer pain, then surely they (too) suffer pain as you suffer pain..." Pursuing an injured enemy is not an act of self-defense. <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement" <<[[This is exactly what the wicked group of rebels are doing in Syria and Iraq right now – for details check the world news.]]>>

Sura (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (8:15) - "O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. (16)Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey's end." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah" <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (8:57) - "If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (8:59-60) - "And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah's Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape. Make ready for them all thou canst of (armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby ye may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (9:14) - "Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace..." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (9:20) - "Those who believe, and have left their homes and striven with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way are of much greater worth in Allah's sight. These are they who are triumphant." The "striving" spoken of here is Jihad.

Sura (9:30) - "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!" <<[[This is a monstrous lie as no Christian and/or so called Christian and/or Jew ever said such a thing as Almighty God (YHWH) is their God, not Allah.]]>>

Sura (9:38-39) - "O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place." This is a warning to those who refuse to fight, that they will be punished with Hell. <<[[A call to all members of Islam to deny freedom of conscience to others.]]>>

Sura (9:41) - "Go forth, light-armed and heavy-armed, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of Allah! That is best for you if ye but knew."

Sura (9:73) - "O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (9:88) - "But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are (all) good things: and it is they who will prosper."

Sura (9:111) - "Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme."

Sura (9:123) - "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (21:44) - "We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win?" <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (25:52) - "Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an)." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (47:4) - "So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners," <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (47:35) - "Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you,"

Sura (48:17) - "There is no blame for the blind, nor is there blame for the lame, nor is there blame for the sick (that they go not forth to war). And whoso obeyeth Allah and His messenger, He will make him enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow; and whoso turneth back, him will He punish with a painful doom." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (48:29) - "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves" <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims]]>>

Sura (61:4) - "Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way"

Sura (61:10-12) - "O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?- That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity."

Sura (66:9) - "O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end." <<[[This refers to Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sieks, etc. that do not become Muslims. NOTE, The root word of "Jihad" is used again here. The context is clearly holy war, and the scope of violence is broadened to include "hypocrites," those who call themselves Muslims but do not act as such.

Re: Free Our Schools

SO CALLED BLASPHEMY IN PAKISTAN PROVES MANY PAKISTANIS ARE NOTHING BUT SAVAGES WHO ENJOY KILLING OTHERS FOR ALLEGED OFFENSE THAT HURT NO ONE. TO WIT, THESE SAVAGE PAKISTANIS OFTEN DESTROY BIBLES, BUT OFTEN KILL OTHERS FOR ALLEGED DESTRUCTION OF QURANS. THIS IS SAVAGERY, NOT JUSTICE.
CIVILIZED PEOPLE, CITIZENS OF ICELAND, HAVE ABOLISHED THEIR BLASPHEMY LAW WHICH HAS RESULTED IN NO KILLINGS; WHEREAS, PAKISTANIS SAVAGES RETAIN THEIR DRACONIAN LAW AND USE IT AS AN EXCUSE TO COMMIT SAVAGE MURDERS WITHOUT TRIAL DUE TO THEIR BEING SAVAGES.
LET’S LOOK AT WHAT ICELAND DID WITH THEIR MILD LAW,
<<{ Reykjavik (AFP) - Iceland's parliament on Friday voted widely in favour of decriminalising blasphemy, in the name of freedom of expression in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris.
The bill was adopted after 43 of 63 members of parliament voted in favour. One lawmaker voted against, 16 were absent and three abstained.
The bill had been put forward by the Pirate Party in February, after the January attacks in which 12 people were gunned down in the Paris offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
"Freedom of expression is one of the cornerstones of democracy. It is a fundamental point in a free society that people can express themselves without fear of punishment of any kind, whether on behalf of the authorities or others," the Pirate Party said in presenting its bill.
Article 125 in Iceland's penal law, which has now been abolished, had stipulated that anyone "who publicly mocks or dishonours the doctrine or worship of a legal religious group, in this country, shall be fined or jailed up to three months."… . [Source - retrieved from https://news.yahoo.com/iceland-decriminalises-blasphemy-charlie-hebdo-attack-191103229.html on 7/3/2015] >>
NOW LET’S LOOK AT THE UNRIGHTEOUS LAW PUT INTO PLACE BY SAVAGES IN PAKISTAN AND ITS WICKED RESULTS.
<<{ Blasphemy in Pakistan: Anatomy of a lynchingA Christian couple in a village were set ablaze at a brick kiln by a mob. This is the story of what happened
June 20, 2015 5:00AM ET
by Asad Hashim @AsadHashim
This is the second story in a two-part series about blasphemy in Pakistan. The first part, about the case of the first woman on death row for blasphemy in that country, is available here.
KOT RADHA KISHAN, Pakistan — Walking through the quiet, empty streets of Chak 59, patrolled by stray dogs and the odd buffalo, one finds it difficult to tell whether the village is inhabited at all.
It is striking how silence can envelope a life, so as to all but erase it. Or, in this case, two lives: Shama and Shahzad Masih, a young Christian couple accused of blasphemy in this hamlet 31 miles from the big city of Lahore, but deep in the wilderness that dominates Pakistan’s Punjabi heartland.
On Nov. 4, 2014, Shama and Shahzad (most Christians in Pakistan are known only by their first name) were killed by a mob, stirred up by false allegations that the couple had desecrated the Holy Quran, at the brick kiln where they lived and worked for the previous 18 years.
The mob first beat them with sticks and fists before dragging them to the kiln furnace to set them on fire. Witnesses say one or both of them were still alive as they burned.
A month later, there was only silence on the streets of Chak 59. Villagers who lived alongside the couple said they never knew them. Among their co-workers, some said they were visiting relatives on the day of the attack, others that they had left to observe the religious ritual of Ashura. From grocery-stall vendors to policemen, no one admitted ever meeting, let alone knowing, Shama and Shahzad. Most of the villagers fled after the attack, and many of the rest were locked up in police custody.
Probing beneath the silence, however, one discovers that by the morning of Nov. 4, everyone in the village knew that a mob was being formed to kill the couple, and no one — not even they themselves — did anything to stop it.
This is a story to fill the silence.
An example of a zaicha. Nazir, Shahzad's father, made talismans much like this one for people to hang in their homes or businesses as a form of good luck.Asad Hashim
Nazir Masih, 65, had spent the last two decades of his life working at kilns as a thekedaar, an agent who procures laborers. As a respected elder who was well-liked in Chak 59, he often intervened to settle disputes in the village.
Nazir, a Christian, was also a spiritual man. At home, he kept a Bible and a Quran and would spend his time in retirement making taveezes and zaichas: pieces of cloth or paper bearing inscriptions that people in the subcontinent — Hindus, Muslims and Christians alike — often use as talismans or charms.
On the morning of Oct. 29, after suffering for two weeks from an intestinal complaint, Nazir died. He is survived by his sons Iqbal, Shahbaz, Saleem, Nawaz and Fayyaz. Finally, there was Shahzad, his youngest son, with whom he lived at the Gujjar brick kiln, the father taking one room, while Shahzad, Shama and their three children took the other.
Meanwhile, about a mile away from the kiln, in the narrow, red-brick lanes of the village, preparations were underway for a grand celebration as local clerics prepared to welcome Muhammad Khadim Hussain Rizvi, a well-known Barelvi Muslim scholar, to an Urs, a traditional South Asian celebration of the life and works of men considered to be Sufi saints. This event, organized by a religious political party, honored Ilmuddin, a Muslim man from Lahore who, in one of the most high-profile blasphemy cases ever to occur in then-undivided India, stabbed to death the publisher of a religiously charged pamphlet titled Rangeela Rasul (The Promiscuous Prophet) in 1929. Ilmuddin pleaded not guilty to murder and was defended at the Lahore High Court by, among others, Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Ilmuddin was found guilty and hanged on Oct. 31, 1929.
Eighty-five years and three days later, back in Nazir’s rooms, Shama was cleaning out the remnants of her father-in-law’s life. The furnishings were basic, with each wall covered in baked mud and the rooms guarded by a pair of cracked wooden doors. There was no room for Nazir’s papers. Shama took them to the sewage channel outside their home and burned them, as is common with garbage in this part of the world.
Irfan (whose last name isn’t known in the village), a fellow laborer on the kiln, watched Shama as she burned her garbage. Nearby, Ramzan Hameed, who sold fruit and knickknacks off the back of his bicycle, arrived, looking to sell his wares.
Of late, Irfan, a young Christian convert to Islam, had had a bone to pick with Shahzad’s family. Three weeks prior, an argument between him and one of Shahzad’s nephews over working space at the kiln had turned to curses and then to blows. Eventually, Shahzad’s elder brother intervened, expecting that to be the end of it, he said.
Irfan saw Shama burning the zaichas and taveezes, which appeared to be fragments of paper with stylized Arabic script on them. He went to Ramzan Hameed and Afzal, the kiln supervisor (who only goes by one name), claiming that he had seen her “desecrating the Quran” — a crime punishable by life imprisonment in Pakistan.
Irfan and Hameed shared the news of the alleged desecration with the rest of the village, where it was discussed among villagers, and specifically with Haris Bashir and Riaz Qambo, who belonged to locally influential families.
What is unclear is who decided to take the matter to Muhammad Hussain, the local maulvi (cleric). Just four days earlier, Hussain had hosted the Urs for Ilmuddin. Over the course of the night, the news of the alleged desecration spread, and maulvis from nearby villages planned to announce the allegation during the morning prayer, offered just before 6 a.m.
According to interviews with witnesses and police, and the police report filed after the attack, the maulvis prepared a fatwa, calling for those who desecrated the Quran “to be burned the same way that they burned the [holy book].”
Just before sunrise, an announcement was made from the local mosque, about a mile away from Shahzad and Shama’s home, asking all Muslims to gather at the Gujjar brick kiln to avenge the desecration of their holy book.
“The maulvi picks up the loudspeaker — actually, I would call it a Kalashnikov — and starts firing bullets into the air,” said one local, requesting anonymity because of safety concerns.
The announcement spread like wildfire, going from mosque to mosque, and half an hour later, there were hundreds of people from Chak 59 and six nearby villages converging on the Gujjar brick kiln.
…But where the British used the laws sparingly, with only seven cases registered before 1947, independent Pakistan has prosecuted hundreds of people for alleged blasphemy. Since 1977, when dictator Gen. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq began an “Islamization” campaign, there have been more than 1,000 cases of blasphemy registered, according to the National Commission for Justice and Peace, a human rights advocacy group.
In the last 10 years, Pakistan has seen charges brought for offenses as absurd as throwing a business card in the trash (the visitor’s name was Muhammad),shouting slogans against a police officer (the police officer had the same name as one of the companions of the prophet), a rural water dispute, aspelling error, the naming of a child and, perhaps most chillingly, for the acquittal of a person accused of blasphemy by a judge.
Increasingly, cases are also being fought outside the courtroom. Since 1990, more than 65 people have been extrajudicially killed as a result of blasphemy cases. The list includes not just those accused of committing blasphemy, but also, in some cases, their families and security guards.
The law is disproportionately applied against religious minorities, lawyers say, both non-Muslims and minority sects within Islam such as Ahmadis. Moreover, perpetrators of hate crimes based on blasphemy allegations are seldom brought to justice, while those who are alleged to have committed blasphemy are almost always convicted.
The last year alone has seen a dramatic uptick in blasphemy-related murders. Lawyers have been killed for defending those accused of blasphemy. People accused of blasphemy have been killed in police custodyas well as after their release. Even religious scholars calling for reforms to the laws have been shot dead.
And Shama and Shahzad were beaten and set on fire at a brick kiln in Chak 59.
It was a clear morning, and there was the beginning of a chill in the air, as November shrugged off autumn and winter began in earnest in the Punjab.
Shama and Shahzad brought their 1-year-old daughter, Poonam, with them for the walk to the furnace where the daily wage was 600 rupees per person (roughly $6). Soon, there would be another mouth to feed: Shama was five months pregnant.
The kiln administrator Afzal called Shahzad and Shama over to his office, in a small, oblong white building with three rooms and a thatched cane roof. News of the planned lynching had reached him, and he locked the couple and Poonam in one of the rooms. It is unclear if he was protecting them or making sure they did not run away.
Iqbal, Shahzad’s elder brother, who also worked at the kiln, says he never expected matters to come to this. He and his family knew of the threat the night before the attack, but did not take it seriously, he says. As far as he knew, his family was well-respected and had no enmity with anyone.
“I had said that what’s the problem? Bring your four people, we’ll bring ours, and we’ll sit down and talk it out,” Iqbal says, recalling how he had thought of the dispute that morning.
It was now 6:30 a.m., and the mob was beginning to arrive, on motorcycles or piled into trailers dragged by tractors. Iqbal pleaded with Afzal to let his brother go. But the administrator, Iqbal says, told him he was under orders: Either recover a debt Shahzad owed to the brick kiln’s owner (for just under $2,000).
Outside, the mob was growing. Estimates on the size of the crowd vary, with witnesses saying it was anywhere from 600 to several thousand people. Iqbal, who thought he’d reason with the crowd, saw that he didn’t stand a chance. Fearing for their own safety, he and his wife, who was with him at the time, fled to the relative safety of their own rooms.
The room in which Shama and Shahzad were confined was roughly 10 feet by 10 feet and contained three beds, a television and a DVD player. It is where Afzal spent most of his time. It is where Shama and Shahzad would spend their last moments alone together.
Around 7:15, the mob started banging on the room’s blue metal door, locked from the outside by Afzal and the inside by the couple. Shahzad and Shama were silent. Several men, armed with pickaxes, begin to climb the roof. Outside, clerics and others urged the mob on while cries of “Allah-u-Akbar!” rang out.
Haris Bashir, the young village leader, was in the thick of things. He made a phone call to the police, but witnesses and police dispute why he did so. Some say he was the prime driver behind the mob and determined to extract justice for the supposed desecration of the Quran. Others say he was attempting to calm the crowd and to urge them to lodge a legal case against the couple.
Muhammad Ali, a police officer posted nearby, was the first of the authorities to reach the scene. His contingent of five officers, however, did not intervene. Instead, they watched the drama unfold from a safe distance.
And then the lock cracked.
“I went to the door when they had broken the lock, and then there were people trying to break in from the roof as well,” Ali says. “I tried to intercede, to save them, but the people were too crazed.” [[savages]]
The door swung open and Shahzad and Shama were dragged outside. In the confusion, Poonam, the baby, was saved by her aunt.
“As the door opened suddenly, the man and his wife emerged outside. I saw just a fleeting glimpse of them. The crowd lost control and started shouting slogans, and [they] disappeared from view,” says Malik Abdul Aziz, a local journalist who had just arrived on the scene.
The mob separated Shahzad and Shama, hitting them with arms, feet, fists and wooden sticks. The couple fell to the ground, their bodies smeared with blood.
“Shama was covered in wounds, and she had blood on her face and arms. It was clear that — you know how people look like after a stampede of thousands has passed over them? That is what it looked like,” says Aziz, who was filming the attack. Several members of the mob, he says, were also using mobile phones to do the same.
It was then that Shahzad, according to several witnesses, lost consciousness, prompting a sudden silence from the crowd, as it became aware, perhaps, what it was capable of.
“Look what you have done! You’ve killed him!” Bashir reportedly shouted, urging people to move back from the couple. As the crowd moved back, Shama struggled to her feet and sat down on a nearby charpoy, attempting to catch her breath.
Aziz, standing right behind her, says the blood had soaked through Shama’s clothes. Shahzad, he was convinced, had already taken his last breath and was lying on the floor beside her.
Muhammad Haseeb recalls the first time he defended a client accused of blasphemy, in Karachi in 2013.
Against the advice of several senior lawyers, he read out, in open court, the phrase his client was accused of having written, while laying out his defense strategy before the judge.
“And that is not blasphemy,” he added.
The courtroom went silent, he remembers. Even the scratching of the stenographer’s pen came to an abrupt stop, and everyone in the room, the judge included, turned to stare at him. And then, as if to break the trance, a police guard tapped him on the shoulder and whispered: “Kuch aur kahein, waqeel sa’ab.” (“Say something else, Mr. Lawyer.”)
In Pakistan, repeating an allegedly blasphemous statement is also considered blasphemy and is subject to the same punishment as the original speech.
Haseeb, whose name has been changed to protect his safety, has defended several other people accused of blasphemy since then, and he says that from the moment lawyers for the defense enter the courtroom, they are immediately “on the back foot,” working against a system that is tilted in favor of the prosecution.
Haseeb and other lawyers who have fought blasphemy cases say that judges tend to automatically accept the definition of blasphemy put forward by the prosecution, for fear of being accused of blasphemy themselves by challenging that definition. As a result, defense lawyers are limited to two options: contesting whether the blasphemous remarks were ever made or pleading mental instability on the part of their clients.
And that accusation of having committed blasphemy, Haseeb continues, is like “a sword hanging over [minorities’] heads all the time” and used to settle existing personal, monetary or property disputes.
“You want get rid of someone for three years, that’s the best thing you can do: Go to the nearest police station, and you don’t even have to say anything!” Haseeb says. “You just tell the police that this person has said this to me, here is my witness … and the police will arrest him.”
Malik Shamsher is the local police chief in Kot Radha Kishan, and he says that disputes between Muslims and Christians in his district are usually settled using traditional local councils involving community leaders and village elders. Once the matter reaches the courts, however, judges are under pressure to deliver guilty verdicts in blasphemy cases, say lawyers and police who deal with such cases, with mobs of clerics and others often protesting outside courthouses and judges threatened with dire consequences if they do not convict.
“They’re just so scared,” says Haseeb. “[The judges] say, ‘Well, [the defendant] is going to die, but if I go this way, then I’ll die, too.’ ”
It is unsurprising, then, that the conviction rate in blasphemy cases in Pakistan is high and that the standards for evidence tend to be low. In a recent high-profile case, that of Aasia Noreen, for example, while delivering a guilty verdict, the trial judge stated that any argument between a Muslim and a non-Muslim “could not [be] other than the [sic] blasphemy.”
And it is thus that blasphemy cases are fought, and mostly lost, in Pakistan’s courtrooms — with defense lawyers forced to fight with one hand tied behind their back and the other shielding them from accusations against themselves.

Shahzad and Shama never stood a chance.
As the crowd attacked them with renewed vigor, several people grabbed her by her legs and arms, while others did the same with the now-limp body of her husband.
The mob dragged the couple to the kiln “like dogs,” says Aziz, who was forced to flee as the crowd realized he had been filming them.
As the flames reached three feet high, the couple was placed on an open furnace shaft. Shama was still struggling to breathe and to break free, while the flames licked at Shahzad’s lifeless body. Unable to hold her down, the men placed a heavy metal sheet on Shama’s struggling body.
The flames did the rest.
At 8.45 p.m., Imran Prakash rushed to the scene of his uncle’s and aunt’s murders. He found Iqbal hiding behind the door in his room. It is unclear where his wife and Poonam, the toddler, were at this point.
Iqbal was in a state of shock, staring blindly into space. Imran had to shake him back to reality. His first words were: “Don’t hit me! I didn’t do anything. I didn’t do anything.”
Outside, as the police began to arrive in greater numbers, the mob melted away. Whoever was found in the village was immediately arrested, while the police hunted down those whose names they did know: Afzal, the administrator; Muhammad Hussain and his fellow clerics; Haris Bashir and Riaz Qambo, the local village leaders; and Yousuf Gujjar, the owner of the kiln.
The case attracted national attention as Aziz, the journalist, spread news of the murders. Locals either fled or mourned.
There was nothing left of Shama and Shahzad but a few charred fragments of bone, and it took several hours for authorities to recover even those from the raging fires of the kiln.
Finally, at 10 p.m., Prakash and his brother Parvez were able to retrieve the remnants of their relatives’ bodies from the hospital to bring them to the local church for a short service.
And so, in the dead of night and with only their closest family members present, Shama and Shahzad’s bones were finally laid to rest.
Today, the trial of the alleged perpetrators is ongoing, with Afzal, Haris Bashir, Riaz Qambo, Yousuf Gujjar and 97 others still behind bars, but progress has been slow. On March 21, Pakistan’s Supreme Court directed local authorities to reinvestigate the case, expressing dissatisfaction with both the pace and standard of the investigation into the murders.
About a month after the attacks, a small memorial was visible at the spot where Shama and Shahzad had been burned to death, marked by a pile of bricks and some flowers. Their rooms were a mess, the floor covered in the detritus of the family’s hasty exit following the murders: a child’s slipper lay by the door, a man’s sandal in the corner and remnants of broken glass on the floor where Shama and Shahzad once slept.
The village itself was enveloped in silence. A few days later, the memorial would be gone, and a new batch of laborers procured from nearby villages was back at work as a thin column of smoke arose again from the Gujjar brick kiln’s chimney.
Iqbal, Shahzad’s brother, seemed still in shock when asked whom he held responsible for the killings. After giving his uncle a few moments, Imran Prakash answered for him, neatly summing up the chronicle of two murders that could have been prevented but weren’t. He held Irfan, the young man who had fought with Shahzad’s other nephew, chiefly responsible.
“[Irfan] was the one who got everyone to do it. If he wasn’t there, this wouldn’t have happened. If the owner of the brick kiln took a stand, this wouldn’t have happened. If the maulvi had investigated this, it wouldn’t have happened. If the village elders fulfilled their responsibility and brought the two parties together and then took [Shahzad and Shama] to the police station, then they would not have been burned alive,” Imran said.
“So the responsibility,” he concluded, “is everyone’s.” [source - retrieved from http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2015/6/20/blasphemy-in-pakistan-anatomy-of-a-lynching.html on 7/3/2015]
Undoubtedly this is the savage way of life that Muslim apologist wish for in the United Kingdom (UK) and why they want government supported Muslim Faith Based Schools. Never should the UK permit this.
