SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Thursday]
He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. Job 26:2 [authorized King James Bible; AV]
The Bible describes the earth as suspended “upon nothing.” There is no mention of our planet resting on the shoulders of a giant or on the backs of elephants that stand on a turtle, as some popular myths of ancient times had it. Rather, the Bible leaves the door open to scientific discovery. In time, Nicolaus Copernicus and Johannes Kepler described how the planets move around the sun driven by an invisible force. Isaac Newton later showed how gravitation governs the movement of all objects in space.
And Isaiah 40:21 – 22 states, “Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? 22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:” [AV].
This leads to, “One question that is often asked of the Bible is, ‘How do we know it's actually inspired by God’? There are several ways to know it's inspired by God, and not just merely the personal opinions of the 40+ authors who wrote it over about at 1,500 year period. One way is the scientific foreknowledge that appears all throughout the Bible. In this case, what we mean by ‘scientific foreknowledge’ is scientific information that was revealed in the Bible long before mankind discovered or verified it through extra-Biblical means. The verses cover a broad range of scientific disciplines. We are gathering this information from several sources, and will add to this list as we have time to.” [source - Scientific Foreknowledge in the Bible, ]

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Friday]
And the One who sent me is with me; he did not abandon me to myself, because I always do the things pleasing to him.” John 8:29 [New World Translation Revised: NWTr]
Do we need to worry that Jesus (Yeshua) might misuse his power? Absolutely not! Jesus (Yeshua) really loves his Father and would never do anything to displease him. (John14:31) Jesus well knows that Jehovah never misuses his almighty power. Jesus (Yeshua) has observed firsthand that Almighty God (YHWH) searches for opportunities “to show his strength in behalf of those whose heart is complete toward him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9) Indeed, Jesus (Yeshua) shares his Father’s love for mankind, so we can trust that Jesus (Yeshua) will always use his power for good. (John 13:1) Jesus (Yeshua) has established a flawless record in this regard. Let us consider the power he had while on earth and how he was moved to use it.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Sunday]
He committed no sin, nor was deception found in his mouth. 1 Peter 2:22 [New World Translation Revised: NWTr]
Can you imagine the potential for abuse if Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) power were placed in the hands of an imperfect ruler? But Jesus (Yeshua) was sinless. He refused to be tainted by the selfishness, ambition, and greed that drive imperfect men to use their power to hurt others.
Jesus (Yeshua) was unselfish in the use of his power, never employing it for personal gain. When he was hungry, he refused to turn stones into bread for himself. (Matthew 4:1-4) His meager possessions were evidence that he did not profit materially from the use of his power. (Matthew 8:20) There is further proof that his powerful works sprang from unselfish motives. When he performed miracles, he did so at some cost to himself. When he cured the sick, power went out of him. He was sensitive to this outflow of power, even in the case of just one cure. (Mark 5:25-34) Yet, he let crowds of people touch him, and they were healed. (Luke 6:19) What a selfless spirit!
This powerful man, Jesus (Yeshua), was nothing like those rulers and false prophets such as the brutal Muhammad who have wielded power in callous disregard for the needs and suffering of others. Jesus (Yeshua) cared about people. The mere sight of the afflicted touched him so deeply that he was motivated to relieve their suffering. (Matthew 14:14) He was considerate of their feelings and needs, and this tender concern influenced the way he used his power. A moving example is found at Mark 7:31-37.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Monday]
Now it came to pass, when all the people were baptized, that, Jesus also having been baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, Luke 3:21 [American Standard Version; ASV]
Evidently, Jesus (Yeshua) performed no miracles when he was a boy growing up in Nazareth. But that changed after he was baptized in 29 C.E., at about 30 years of age. The Bible tells us: “God anointed him with holy spirit and power, and he went through the land doing good and healing all those oppressed by the Devil.” (Acts 10:38) “Doing good”—does that not indicate that Jesus used his power aright? After his anointing, he “became a prophet powerful in work and word.”—Luke 24:19.

COMBINATION OF THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY AND THE RARE FRUIT TREES AND VEGETABLES. With the Scripture of the Day first.
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Tuesday]
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. (English Revised Version: ERV)
If we personally have a tendency to feel superior to others; however, this is detestable to Almighty God (YHWH) . We would do well to examine our view of those who belong to another race, nationality, or culture. If we harbor feelings of racial or national pride, we ignore the fact that God “and he made of one every nation of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;” (Acts 17:26, ERV) In that sense, there is just one race because all mankind has a common ancestor, Adam. Therefore, how absurd it is to believe that some races are inherently superior or inferior. Such thinking would suit Satan’s scheme to disrupt our Christian love and unity. (John 13:35) To fight Satan and win, we must resist all forms of improper pride.—Prov. 16:18.
THE RARE FRUIT TREES AND VEGETABLES:
Here is a Commentary on Bountiful Trees and Vegetables God (YHWH) has provided for mankind, specifically the Duchesnea indica, Indian Strawberry
Abundance: uncommon
What: small red fruit, young leaves
How: fruit raw (tasteless/bland), leaves and flowers raw, cooked, or in a tea
Where: sunny or partially shaded fields
When: spring
Nutritional Value: minerals, low in vitamins
These bright red berries and yellow flowers appear in sunny to partially sunny areas returning to wilderness or infrequently mowed. Sadly, these fruit actually have a bland, inside taste. However, they are usually plentiful when in season and can supply a good dose of vitamins, flavanoids and antioxidants. [sourc - retrieved from on 7/2/2015]
In Genesis 1:11-13, "And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [wednesday]
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. John 12:31 [authorized King James Bible; AV]
Satan is the ruler of this world, as revealed by 1 John 12:31, [AV] when it says, ”And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. and it is lying in his power.” Therefore, much of what this world promotes runs counter to the standards set forth in the Bible. Of course, not everything the world offers is evil. However, we should expect that Satan would use his world to exploit our desires and try to induce us to sin or to develop love for the world and neglect our worship of Jehovah. As 1 John 2:15 -17, [AV], says, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Thursday]
By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? Matthew 7:16 [New World Translation Revised: NWTr]
There is no need to be an expert on religion to tell the truth from the false. Just look at what some of their furits, or identifying features, are. True religion has some salient identifying features. They are:
* True religion promotes unselfish love per John 13:35, “By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” [NWTr] It teaches people to respect all ethnic groups, true multicultural, to use their time and resources to help others, and to avoid sharing the wars of the nations, and their hates. (Micah 4:1-4).
* True religion is a way of life, not just ritual or formality. Its members practice what they preach (Romans 2:21, 1 John 3:18).
* True religion teaches the truth from Almighty God’s (YHWH’s) word, the Bible, (John 4:24, 17:17). It is NOT based on human philosophies.
* True religion helps people get to know Almighty God (YHWH), including knowing his name, Jehovah (YHWH) (John 17:3 & 6).
* True religion focuses attention on Almighty God’s (YHWH’s) Kingdom, not man’s governments, as the only hope for mankind (Matthew 10:7, 24:14)

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Friday]
Then I was by him, as a master workman; And I was daily his delight, Rejoicing always before him, Proverbs 8:30 [American Standard Version; ASV]
Since Jesus is the Master Worker, whom Almighty God (YHWH) used to create the earth and all life on it, he fully understands the makeup of the earth. He knows how to use its resources properly. Under his rule, this entire earth will be turned into Paradise.—Luke 23:43.
The powerful works that Jesus (Yeshua) performed on earth were just foregleams of even grander blessings to come under his kingly rule. In God’s new world, Jesus will once again work miracles—but on a global scale! Consider some of the thrilling prospects ahead. Jesus will restore the earth’s ecology to perfect balance. Recall that he demonstrated control of natural forces by calming a windstorm. Surely, then, under Christ’s Kingdom rule, mankind will have no need to fear being harmed by typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or other natural disasters.

COMBINATION OF THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY AND THE RARE FRUIT TREES AND VEGETABLES. With the Scripture of the Day first.
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – [Saturday]
There will be an abundance of grain on the earth; On the top of the mountains it will overflow. His fruit will flourish as in Lebanon, And in the cities people will blossom like the vegetation of the earth. Psalms 72:16 [New World Translation Revised: NWTr]
What about mankind’s needs? Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) ability to feed thousands bountifully, using only a few meager provisions, assures us that his rule will bring freedom from hunger. Indeed, an abundance of food, distributed fairly, will end hunger forever. His mastery over sickness and disease tells us that sick, blind, deaf, maimed, and lame people will be healed—completely and permanently. (Isaiah 33:24; 35:5, 6) His ability to resurrect the dead ensures that his mightiness as a heavenly King includes the power to resurrect the countless millions whom his Father is pleased to remember.—John 5:28, 29.
THE RARE FRUIT TREES AND VEGETABLES:
Here is a Commentary on Bountiful Trees and Vegetables God (YHWH) has provided for mankind, specifically the Elaeagnaceae spp., Elaeagnus
Abundance: common
What: berries, seeds
How: raw, jam, jelly
Where: landscaping shrub
When: early spring
Nutritional Value: Vitamins A, Bs, C, E, lycopene, flavanoids, fatty acids, and protein
Standing in the front yard of many Texas house, elaeagnus bushes are a staple of suburban home landscaping. Their thick, evergreen foliage and tolerance of many growing conditions coupled with their low cost makes them attractive. In the fall their small but plentiful white/yellow flowers entice bees. In late winter/early spring the small, football-shaped berries are ready to eat. The top of elaeagnus leaves are green with gray spots while the bottom of the leaf is gray with copper-colored spots. Ripe berries are silvery with many tiny red dots. These berries are hidden towards the center of the bush rather than exposed and visible so you may not notice them unless you lift the branches to look.
The berries have a wonderful sweet/tart taste with a hint of astringency. Most people considering elaeagnus multiflora to have the best flavor. They are nutritional powerhouses loaded with a number of good compounds including a high concentration of lycopene. The seeds contain omega-3 fatty acids but they can be bitter in flavor and so unpalatable.
The flesh of the berries make a good jam, jelly, and fruit leather. There's no reason they couldn't be made into wine. [sourc - retrieved from on 6/22/2015]
