SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
 
John 8:42 Jesus (Yeshua) said to them, " Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me." (Authorized King James Bible; AV).
 
Jesus (Yeshua) said he comes from God. The flesh cannot be speaking for the flesh was created. So Jesus (Yeshua)'s spiritual being came from God. Jesus (Yeshua) did not send himself, he did not come on his own, but before he was on earth, God sent him. Jesus (Yeshua) was sent by God into the world, so Jesus (Yeshua) is before the world with God.  He is referred to a Pr. 8:22-31, “The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.  23  I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.  24  When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.  25  Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:  26  While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.  27  When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:  28  When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:  29  When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:  30  Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;  31  Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Galatians 5:19
 
This scripture clearly shows, many life styles are NOT approved by Almighty God (YHWH), and this REALITY is further highlighted at 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (AV)
 
And this is made even more clear at Romans 1:19-29, “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,”
 
And for men to want other men for forbidden sexual pleasures has always been wrong as shown By Leviticus 18:22-24,  “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.  Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:”
 
And by Jude 7-8, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (none existence)  Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.”
 
And by Leviticus 20:13, “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” (this shows a principle as we are no longer under the ancient Old Law Covenant made with the ancient nation of Israel.)
 
Now this in no way gives anyone the right to judge or harass others as shown by Leviticus 19:17-18, “Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.  Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”

Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it.—Genesis  1:28.
 
Was that stated purpose foiled by the rebellion in the garden of Eden? Absolutely not! Jehovah immediately reacted to that new situation by using an alternate “route” to achieve his purpose. He foretold the appearance of a “seed” who would undo the damage done by the rebels. (Gen. 3:15; Heb. 2:14-17; 1 John 3:8) Jehovah’s ability to adapt to new circumstances while in the process of bringing his purpose to completion is in harmony with a description he gave of himself. When Moses presented Jehovah with potential impediments to the assignment he had been given, Jehovah assured him by saying: “‘I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be.’ And he added: ‘This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, “I shall prove to be has sent me to you.”’” (Ex. 3:14) Yes, Jehovah is able to become whatever he needs to become in order to accomplish his purpose fully!

And Peter opened his mouth and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:  35  but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is acceptable to him.  Acts 10:34-35 [American Standard Version; ASV]
 
Jesus (Yeshua) Christ is no respecter of race or nationality, but accepts all people earnestly following him as clearly shown by James 2:1-4, “My brethren, hold not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.  2  For if there come into your synagogue a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, and there come in also a poor man in vile clothing;  3  and ye have regard to him that weareth the fine clothing, and say, Sit thou here in a good place; and ye say to the poor man, Stand thou there, or sit under my footstool;  4  do ye not make distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?”   Clearly showing that we should not draw a distinction between rich or poor or between nationalities and/or races.

The law of that spirit which gives life . . . has set you free.—Romans  8:2.
 
The word “law” here does not refer to certain rules, such as those in the Mosaic Law. One reference work suggests: “The Greek term for law here means an inward principle of action—either good or evil—operating with the regularity of a law. The term also designates a standard for a person’s life.” The Mosaic Law, with its many commandments, condemned sinners. Moreover, Israel’s high priests serving under the Law were imperfect and could not offer an adequate sacrifice for sin. Hence, the Law was “weak through the flesh.” But “by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh” and offering him as a ransom, God overcame the “incapability on the part of the Law.” As a result, anointed Christians are counted righteous on the basis of their faith in Jesus’ ransom sacrifice. They are urged to “walk, not in accord with the flesh, but in accord with the spirit.”—Rom. 8:3, 4.

In a parable, Jesus indicated that from the first century onward, there would always be some genuine anointed Christians on the earth. He compared them to “wheat” growing among “weeds.” Of course, we cannot say for certain who they were, but we can confirm that there have always been some who have courageously defended God’s Word and exposed the church’s unscriptural teachings. For example, Archbishop Agobard of Lyons, France (779-840 C.E.), spoke out against image worship, churches dedicated to saints, and the church’s unscriptural liturgies and practices. Bishop Claudius, a contemporary of his, also rejected church tradition and objected to prayers to saints and the veneration of relics. In the 11th century, Archdeacon Berengarius of Tours, France, was excommunicated for rejecting the Catholic teaching of transubstantiation. Moreover, he held that the Bible is superior to church tradition.

Unceasingly, pray, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (Rotherham Bible; RB).
 
Now this scripture brings up the question of, do all prayers go to the same place, regardless of who is being addressed?  In the world of today, it is often popular to assume so.  The notion appeals to many who favor interfaith movements and want all religions to be acceptable, despite their differences.  But fail to consider that this idea is untrue?
 
In fact, inspired word of Almighty God (YHWH), the Bible, clearly shows that, in fact, many prays are misdirected.  Back when the Bible was written, it was common for people to direct their prayers to carved images; however Almighty God (YHWH) repeatedly warned against this practice.  For example at Psalm 115:4-6 it says of idols, “Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men,––  5  A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;  6  Ears, have they, but they hear not, A nose, have they, but they smell not:” (RB).  Now the point is clear.  Why pray to a god who will never hear you?
 
A vivid inspired word of Almighty God (YHWH), the Bible, account enlarges on this point with respect the true prophet Elijah when he challenged the prophets of Baal to pray to their god, after which Elijah would pray to his.  Elijah said that the true God would answer and the false one would not.  Accepting this challenge, the Baal prophets initiated long and hard prayers, even with loud outcries, to their false god Baal, but to no avail!  The account at 1 Kings 18:29 reads, “And so it was, when noon was passed, that although they prophesied until the offering up of the evening gift, yet was there no voice nor any that answered, nor any that hearkened.” (RB).
 
After Elijah prayed, his Gpd answered instantly, sending fire from heaven to consume an offering that Elijah had set out.  Now, what was the difference?  There is one vital clue in Elijah’s prayer itself as recorded at 1 Kings 18:36-37, “And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the gift, that Elijah the prophet drew near, and said, O Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel! Today, let it be known––That, thou, art God in Israel, and that, I, am thy servant,––and that, by thy word, have I done all these things.  37  Answer me, O Yahweh! answer me, That this people may know, that, thou––Yahweh, art GOD,––so shalt, thou thyself, have turned their heart back again.” (RB).  He addressed the true God 3 times in this short prayer.

And God went on to say: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth.” 27 And God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:26-27.
 
Before Adam and Eve were created, Almighty God (YHWH) was confident that humans would be able to carry out his will for them, reflect his qualities, and bring him glory.  In practicing godly devotion, we should display the qualities of the One who made us.  If we do so, we have the blessed privilege of reflecting Almighty God’s (YHWH) glory regardless of our culture, out education, or our ethnic background.  Why? Because ‘God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him:’ Acts 10:34-35.

O Lord, I am conscious that a man’s way is not in himself: man has no power of guiding his steps.—Jeremiah . 10:23, “The Bible in Basic English.”
 
Would it not be foolhardy for an inexperienced person to set off alone, without a skilled guide and not so much as a compass, hiking deep into an uncharted wilderness? Not knowing how to survive inhospitable conditions in the wild and not having the expertise to find his way safely to his destination, he would be putting his life in jeopardy. So, too, the person who thinks he can direct his course through this wicked world without allowing Almighty God (YHWH) to show him the right way is placing his life in grave danger. The only chance we have of traversing this system of things successfully is to make the same prayerful request to Jehovah that David did: “Let my steps take hold on your tracks, in which my footsteps will certainly not be made to totter.”—Ps. 17:5; 23:3.
