SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans’ pride, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. Isaiah 13:19 [American Standard Version; ASV]
The Bible contains numerous prophecies, many of which already have been fulfilled. Consider an example, Almighty God (YHWH) use of Isaiah to foretell that the city of Babylon would be destroyed (Isaiah 14:22-23). Not only was its fall prophesized, but details were given to show exactly how this would happen; to wit, invading armies would dry up Babylon’s river and march into the city without a battle. That is not all, lIsaiah’s prophecy even named the king who would conquer Babylon – Cyrus (Isaiah 44;27 to 45:2). Thus proving Himself a God of accurate prophecy.

and above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness. Colossians 3:14 [American Standard Version; ASV]
Make love your foremost value. We cannot be truly happy and emotionally secure without love, especially within the family. People who disregard that fact, perhaps giving priority to the pursuit of riches or a career, actually invest in unhappiness. Yes, for good reason the Bible makes love the preeminent value, mentioning it hundreds of times. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3, 1 John 4:8).

ye also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift bestowed upon us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf. 2 Corinthians 1:11 [American Standard Version; ASV]
Our prayers to Almighty God (YHWH) in behalf of others can truly help them. Although, He is not obliged to act because a large number of his worshippers have made prayerful request repeatedly, he notes their collective interest and takes into account their genuine and deep concern as he responds to their prayers. So we ought to take seriously our privilege and responsibility to pray in behalf of others. Like Epaphras, we should display our heartfelt love and concern for our Christian brothers and sisters by exerting ourselves in prayer in their behalf. Doing so will add to our happiness, for there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving (Acts 20:35).

[Jesus] continued in retirement in the deserts and praying.—Luke 5:16.
Jesus often withdrew from the crowds in order to pray to his Father privately. (Matt. 14:13; Luke 6:12) We have the same need for solitude. In calm prayer under peaceful conditions, we are likely to make decisions that please Jehovah and are in our best spiritual interests. However, Jesus also prayed publicly. At our meetings, loyal men represent the congregation in public prayer. (1 Tim. 2:8) Fellow believers should be able to say “amen,” meaning “so be it,” at the end of such a prayer. To do so, however, they must agree with what was said. There is nothing shocking or tactless about Jesus’ model prayer. (Luke 11:2-4) Moreover, he did not itemize all the needs or problems of each person in his audience. Personal concerns are suitable subjects for private, not public, prayer. And when representing a group in prayer, we should refrain from including confidential matters.

Share with the holy ones according to their needs.—Romans 12:13.
Our love for our brothers will move us to “share with the holy ones according to their needs” and according to our ability. Even if we have few of this world’s goods, we can share what we have. Writing of Christians in Macedonia, Paul stated: “During a great test under affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty made the riches of their generosity abound. For according to their actual ability, yes, I testify, beyond their actual ability this was, while they of their own accord kept begging us with much entreaty for the privilege of kindly giving and for a share in the ministry destined for the holy ones [in Judea].” (2 Cor. 8:2-4) Although poor themselves, Christians in Macedonia were very generous. They considered it a privilege to share with their needy brothers in Judea.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Offer your very selves to him: a living sacrifice, dedicated and fit for his acceptance.—Romans. 12:1, “The New English Bible.”
Before someone who is alienated from God can become a member of God’s family of approved servants, he first needs to make a solemn promise to Jehovah. To understand why, imagine a respectable father who shows kind interest in an orphaned youth and wishes to adopt him as a member of his own family. The father is known to be a good man. Still, before accepting the youth as his son, the man wants the boy to make a promise. So the man says, “Before I accept you as a son, I need to know that you will love and respect me as your father.” Only if the youth is willing to make a solemn promise will the man admit him into his family. Is that not reasonable? Similarly, Jehovah accepts into his family only those who are willing to make a vow of dedication to him.

John 11:41-42, “ So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the multitude that standeth around I said it, that they may believe that thou didst send me.”
Jesus (Yeshua) prayed reverently in full faith before he resurrected Lazarus as shown by the above scripture. Do your prayers give evidence of such reverence and faith? Study Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) reverential model prayer, and you will see that particularly significant features of it are the sanctification of Almighty God (YHWH) name, the coming of his Kingdom, and the accomplishment of his will per Matthew 6:9-10. Think about your own prayers. Do they reflect your keen interest in Almighty God’s (YHWH’s) Kingdom, in the doing of his will, and in the sanctification of his holy name? They should.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Peter said to them: “Repent, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the holy spirit.”—Acts 2:38.
Think of the religious situation of those Jews and proselytes who heard Peter. They had already accepted Jehovah as their God. And from the Hebrew Scriptures, they knew about the holy spirit, God’s active force used during creation and thereafter. (Gen. 1:2; Judg. 14:5, 6; 1 Sam. 10:6; Ps. 33:6) But they needed something more. It was vital for them to understand and accept God’s means of salvation—the Messiah, Jesus. Hence, Peter highlighted their need for being “baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.” Some days before, the resurrected Jesus commanded Peter and others to baptize people “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit.” (Matt. 28:19, 20) That had profound meaning in the first century, and it still does.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 [American Standard Version; ASV]
In the near future, the nations will say “Peace and safety.” (1 Thessalonians 5:3) In we are not to be caught off guard to this declaration, we need to, “…not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.” (1 Thessalonians 5:6). To this end we must be constant in our study of Almighty God’s (YHWH’s) book of guidance for us, the Bible.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.. John 16:13-15 (Authorized King James Bible; AV)
The true God (YHWH) of Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael, creator of all there is, incorporates his qualities and attributes into his Son so that Christ may serve as his most outstanding representative in heaven and Earth for the benefit of humanity he therefore becomes the true God (YHWH) of Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael, creator of all there is, himself; whereas, the Bible clearly says Jesus (Yeshua) Christ in Colossians 1:15, "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:" [AV], a representation of his very being per Hebrews 1:3, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" [AV] and as such, he fully reflects the true God (YHWH) of Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael's, creator of all there is, ethics, moral qualities and divinity in heaven. Thus he could most certainly respond to Philip's question at John 14:9, "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" [AV].
