SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Friday]
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:11 – 12 [authorized King James Bible; AV]
Events on the day of Pentecost in 33 C.E. proved that Jehovah had graciously accepted the value of Jesus’ perfect human sacrifice as an atonement, or a covering, for sin. As Jesus explained, he came, “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Matt. 20:28, [AV]). The “many” who would benefit from Jesus’ ransom were not to be limited to repentant Jews. Rather, it is God’s will that “… all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” ( 1 Tim. 2:4-6; [AV]) John 1:29.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Saturday]
But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Ju·dea and Sa·mari·a, and to the most distant part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 [New World Translation Revised; NWTR]
These powerful words would clearly be understood by his final appearance 40 days later. Why did Jesus say: “You will be witnesses of me,” not of Almighty God (YHWH)? Jesus could have said the latter, but the ones whom he addressed were Israelites and as such were already witnesses of Jehovah.
Now Jesus’ disciples would have to make known a new feature of Almighty God’s (YHWH’s) purpose—something far grander than Israel’s deliverances from slavery in Egypt and later from captivity in Babylon. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provided the basis for freedom from the worst form of captivity, namely, slavery to sin and death. At Pentecost 33 C.E., Jesus’ newly anointed disciples made known to the people “the magnificent things of God,” and many who heard responded. Thus, from his Father’s right hand in heaven, Jesus began to see his name take on greater meaning as thousands repented and put faith in him as Jehovah’s means of salvation.—Acts 2:5, 11, 37-41.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Sunday]
Jehovah gives the command; The women proclaiming the good news are a large army, 68:11 [New World Translation Revised; NWTR]
Almighty God (YHWH) formed the earth to, per Isaiah 45:18, “…, Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.” [NWTR]. His first human creation, Adam, was perfect, and God gave him a wonderful home—the garden of Eden. How Adam enjoyed its stately trees, its trickling streams, its frolicking animals! But he lacked something very important. Almighty God (YHWH) indicated what that was when he declared, Then Jehovah God said: “It is not good for the man to continue to be alone. I am going to make a helper for him, as a complement of him.” Now Jehovah God had been forming from the ground every wild animal of the field and every flying creature of the heavens, and he began bringing them to the man to see what he would call each one; and whatever the man would call each living creature, that became its name. So the man named all the domestic animals and the flying creatures of the heavens and every wild animal of the field, but for man there was no helper as a complement of him. So Jehovah God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he was sleeping, he took one of his ribs and then closed up the flesh over its place. And Jehovah God built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman, and he brought her to the man. Then the man said: “This is at last bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh. This one will be called Woman, Because from man she was taken.” Gen. 2:18 - 23.
Almighty God’s (YHWH’s) gift of a woman was unique in that she was to be the man’s perfect helper. She would also have the special privilege of bearing children. In fact, After this Adam named his wife Eve, because she was to become the mother of everyone living. ” (Gen. 3:20. [NWTR]). What an amazing gift God gave that first human couple! Have other living things in subjection. They had the ability to produce other perfect humans. By this means, the earth would eventually become a paradise populated by perfect people who would have other living things in subjection. (Genesis 1:28 – 28).

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Monday]
And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:15 – 17 [authorized King James Bible; AV]
However to receive these blessings set before them, Adam and Eve would have to obey Jehovah and acknowledge his rulership as stated in the scripture. Only under those circumstances could they fulfill God’s purpose for them. Sadly, though, they were influenced by, “…the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.. ( Gen. 3:1-6, [AV]). How has this rebellion affected women? What was accomplished by godly women of the past? Why can present-day Christian women be referred to as “a large army”?—Ps. 68:11.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Tuesday]
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9 – 10 (Authorized King James Bible; AV)
Millions of people around the world rest their hope on God’s Kingdom following the pattern set by Jesus (Yeshua) Christ who taught his followers to pray for it.
Ironically ,while many people are keenly interested in God’s Kingdom, most religions seem to give little attention to it. In this regard, Historian H. G. Wells, noted how remarkable it is that Jesus (Yeshua) Christ gave “enormous prominence…to the teaching of what he called the Kingdom of Heaven” and yet, said Wells, this teaching has “comparative insignificance in the…teaching of most Christian churches and religious groups.
While Jesus (Yeshua) Christ was on earth, he made God’s Kingdom the focal point of his life and ministry, as shown at Luke 4:43, “And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.’ [AV] . Now, why did the Kingdom mean so much to Jesus (Yeshua) Christ? And what can it mean for you?
Let’s look at why the Kingdom mean so much to Jesus (Yeshua) Christ when he was on the earth. For one thing, Jesus knew that God had selected him to be its Ruler. (Isaiah 9:6; Luke 22:28-30). But Jesus was not focused on achieving power or glory for himself. (Matthew 11:29; Mark 10:17, 18). He promoted the Kingdom for reasons far beyond his own interests. Primarily, Jesus was and is interested in God’s Kingdom * because of what it will do for those whom he loves—his heavenly Father and his faithful followers.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Wednesday]
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men. Proverbs 8:30 – 31 (Authorized King James Bible; AV)
Jesus (Yeshua) has deep affection for his heavenly Father (Almighty God (YHWH) (John 14:31) He admires his Father’s endearing qualities, such as His love, His compassion, and His justice. (Deuteronomy 32:4; Isaiah 49:15;1 John 4:8) Surely, then, Jesus (Yeshua) must hate to hear the lies that are spread about his Father (Almighty God (YHWH))—lies such as that God is indifferent to human suffering and that God wants us to suffer. This is one reason why Jesus (Yeshua) was eager to declare “the good news of the Kingdom”—he knew that in time the Kingdom would clear his Father’s reputation. (Matthew 4:23; 6:9, 10) How will it do so?
Through the Kingdom, Almighty God (YHWH) will take drastic, positive action in behalf of the human family. “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:3, 4, [AV]) By means of the Kingdom, God will eliminate all human suffering. *
Little wonder that Jesus was eager to tell people about the Kingdom! He knew that it would reveal just how powerful and compassionate his Father really is. (James 5:11) Jesus also knew that the Kingdom would benefit others whom he loves—faithful humans.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Friday]
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 Cor. 2:12. [authorized King James Bible; AV]
What is “the spirit of the world”? It is the same spirit as that mentioned at Ephesians 2:2, which says: “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.” [AV] This “air” is the world’s spirit, or mental attitude, and it surrounds us like literal air. It is everywhere. It is often manifested in the no-one-is-going-to-tell-me-what-to-do or the fight-for-your-rights attitude of so many people today. They constitute “the sons of disobedience” of Satan’s world. Such attitudes are not new. In Moses’ time, Korah, Dathan, and Abiram rose up against those in authority in the congregation of Israel. (Num. 16:3, 12-14) Jehovah was clearly not pleased with their spirit. He executed all the rebels.—Num. 16:28-35. w12 10/15 2:4, 5

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY [Saturday]
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11 [authorized King James Bible; AV]
It is wise to be cautious instead of believing everything you hear. As Proverbs 14:15 says, “The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” [AV] In some ways, your caution could be compared to that of the ancient Beroeans. When they were first told about the good news of the Kingdom, the Beroeans accepted what they heard, but not simply because they wanted it to be true. Rather, they carefully examined the Scriptures to see whether these things were so. In other words, the Beroeans compared the good news that they heard with what the Scriptures say. In time, they became convinced that the good news was in fact solidly based on God’s Word.
